Hi. Remember me? Probably not, seeing as I've been gone for nearly six months. SIX MONTHS.
Anyway, I really honestly have no good excuse as to why I've been away other than school. I took a 'small' break after Christmas so I could revise for my prelims (Scottish version of Mocks!) but then I just never started the blog up again afterwards and then I got carried away...and now it's the end of May and I have just one exam left, woop woop!
Anyway, I thought I'd start back my blog with a good old haul, as I've found some good quality retail therapy is a good way to de stress from my exams! (not the best for my bank account though...)
To start off this haul, I picked up the L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation recently. I got after hearing so many people on Youtube talking about it, and I really wanted to try out a foundation that was quite high coverage. It's been around two months I think since I got this, and I absolutely love it! It suits my skintone really well, blends out so easily and covers so well. I even like using this as a concealer sometimes if I'm using another foundation and can't quite cover up my spots, and it covers them so much! It feels really light as well, and it blends so nicely that you can't even tell you're wearing any foundation!
I've also bought a foundation stick from Primark, as I haven't really heard anyone on youtube or the blogging scene talking about it and I really wanted to try it out. I think I'm going to do a full review of this, and I haven't really given it a proper go yet, so look out for that!
I've been running out of my Nivea aftershave balm primer that I use, so I decided to pick up a new one, and decided on the Rimmel Fix & Protect primer, which has SPF 25. I really love this primer, possibly even more than my Nivea one, as this one really moisturises my skin and I really like the fact that it has SPF in it, because as a 17 year old I have a real fear of wrinkles and I mean, you've got to start prevention early, right?
Morphe is a brand that I've wanted to try for ages, and after binge watching
SophDoesNail's youtube channel, I was convinced to buy the
Morphe M557 Mini Detail Contour Brush. This is such a good little contour brush, I use it with the Freedom Contour Pan in 03 and it actually makes me feel as though I know how to contour (not actually sure if it's improved my actual contouring skills, but oh well). It's so soft and blends out bronzer so well, and it's really tempting me to try out some other Morphe brushes, even though I clearly do not need any more makeup brushes...
Lastly for base products, I had run out of my mini Urban Decay setting spray, and really wanted to try out a cheaper one, as I didn't really fancy paying £9 for a mini setting spray when I could easily get a full sized spray from Boots for cheaper. I ended up getting the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Setting Spray. I really like this too, it keeps my makeup on and has a really nice spray/nozzle thing. If you can't already tell, I'm not really sure what else I can say about a setting spray seeing as it is a pretty boring product, so I'll just cut this here!
Onto more exciting purchases: eyeshadow! I bought the Morphe 35P palette after waiting ages on a waitlist, and it's so pretty! I got this one with ore purple colours as I don't really own any purple eyeshadow and I didn't want to get a palette like the infamous 35O as I already had a gazillion other shades just like it and I really wanted to try and wear more colourful makeup and thought this would be a good way to try it out! The eyeshadows are so pigmented and blend so easily! It's really good value for money as you get 35 eyeshadows for around £21, and I would definitely recommend getting on the waiting list for this on Cult Beauty or Beauty Bay, as it's so worth the money and I get so much use out of it!
Next up is the
Makeup Revolution Flawless Mattes 2 palette. I first saw this on Gabby (
VelvetGh0st)'s channel and I went right out and bought it as I thought it looked so pretty! Believe it or not, all of these shades are matte (not that you wouldn't guess that from the name of the palette of course), and I love this palette for school as I'm not really one to wear bright colours to school. I just shove some of the browns through my crease and a lighter colour all over my eyelid and it looks really natural and takes me literally 1 minute to do! I also love the pinky peach colours down the right side, it's pretty much the only eyeshadow I've been wearing for the past two weeks! I would definitely recommend this to everyone, as it's only £8, and the eyeshadows are so high quality and last all day without fading!
Onto the last products in this haul - more eyeshadows!
I got a little Z Palette for my Christmas, and I've been purchasing a few Makeup Geek eyeshadows to fill it up. I recently made a little order on Beauty Bay and ended up ordering 3 Makeup Geek shadows. The first one I picked up was Cinderella, which is a shimmery, light pink, champagne-y shade. The next one is Cosmopolitan which I think is my favourite of the three, as it's a shimmery orange shade that looks so pretty and I've been wearing it so much since I got it!
And lastly, I got a foiled eyeshadow in the shade Grandstand, which is a gorgeous bronze shade that is just so pigmented and pretty, I love it so much!

I hope you liked this little haul! I'm hoping to start posting again regularly as it's just less than a month until I break up for the summer holidays so I'll be free from school and exams so I'll be able to post far more regularly!
Anyway, thank you for reading, and I'll see you soon!
