The Empties: Episode 4

Hi again! Today I thought I'd do a post on some beauty products I've used up, as I've been hoarding empty products for a few months ago and I thought the box I keep them in was getting a bit ridiculously full so I thought I'd make some empties posts out of them!
Before I start I thought I'd just apologise for the awful photo quality, I had to take them when I got home from school and the lighting was awful!

Recently Read: July/August

Hello again! I'm still here!

This week I thought I'd do a post on the books I've read recently.
In all honesty, I actually photographed this way back in July and I've read so many books since July, but I may do an update soon of some of the best books I've read since (I won't do them all as I'm a fast reader so it'll be 1000 years long).

My Christmas Wishlist & A Big Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone!
To conclude this (failed) blogmas, I decided to do a little post showing you some of the things I've asked for this year!

Just a quick note: No, I do not expect to receive all of this, this is just a few things that I liked that I'm hoping to get one of two things from. Do you get me? Probably not.
Anyway, I'll just get started now, and I hope you like this post!

Christmas Favourites // Beauty, Candles & Music!

Today I thought I'd do a Christmas Favourites, as I have loads of little favourites around Christmas that I really wanted to talk out - from makeup, to biscuits, to candles!
Again, this is up quite late today, and my next post on  friday will probably be late too, as it's another gift guide and I haven't had time to properly organise it all yet!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the post!

Makeup Obsession Eyeshadows - Custom Palette & Review

Hello everyone! Sorry this post is up a few hours late, I had an english essay to write and it took ages to do!
Today I'm going to be doing a little review (I know I'm going a bit buts with the reviews posts, here, sorry!) on a custom eyeshadow palette I made from Boots last week! I've seen a few different people taking about them so I thought I'd join in and get my own thoughts on what they're like!

The Christmas Tag!

Hello everyone! Today I thought I'd do a less-beauty-orientated post, and just do a tag instead! I found this tag a few weeks ago, as loads of beauty bloggers had done it, so I thought I'd join in and do it!

Anyway, I hope you like this post, and feel free to answer the questions in the comments!

1. What is your favourite Christmas movie/s?

I love The Holiday, with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet, I watch it every year! If I'm honest, I don't really have many favourites, I'll honestly watch any movie!

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas morning! Who opens them on Christmas eve? What are you meant to do on Christmas morning if you've already opened them? Most of my friends get new pyjamas or something on Christmas Eve, but I usually get them on Christmas morning, and apparently that's strange?

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

I can't think of any special memory that sticks out, as our Christmas days are always so fun and exciting, but my favourite memories from ever since I was younger is having my whole family all sitting eating dinner or my mum, dad, brother and I all opening presents on Christmas morning!

4. Favourite festive food?

PIGS IN BLANKETS. I live for pigs in blankets, no matter how much food I've eaten before it, when the tray of these of passes round the room, you simply cannot say no. It's literally 10:30 in the morning and my mouth is watering just thinking about them!
I'm also a big fan of chocolate for breakfast on Christmas morning - who needs their Weetabix when they can have a selection box instead?

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

I honestly can't think of just one! One of my favourites was my laptop which I got when I was 12 or 13, or maybe my iPad, or concert tickets! To be honest it was probably a doll or doll set I really wanted when I was younger!

6. Favourite Christmas scent?

My favourite smell at Christmas is definitely Yankee Candle's Candy Cane Lane, I just finished mine, and I'm missing it! It smells really pepperminty and sweet, I love it!
Yankee Candle always do a 50% off after Christmas on their festive candles, so I think I'll be picking up a large one of Candy Cane Lane this year, as I sometimes get an urge to burn it halfway through the year...

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

I can't really think of anything special or out-of-ordinary that we do, all I can think of is the annual cookies-milk-and-carrots on a plate tradition, and we normally all sit and watch Christmas TV. Last year when my little brother was asleep, I had to help my mum and dad take all his and my presents downstairs to put in the living room, which confirmed the fact that Santa is definitely not real. *sobs*

8. What tops your tree?

We've always had a star on our tree, but I have a little angel on top of the tree in my room, and I think it looks really pretty! I'm not really bothered which goes on the top of the tree, just as it looks really christmassy!

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

I think the one present I swear I asked for for at least 5 or six years was the Sylvanian Families Grand Hotel. It came with a working chandelier, and it was so huge and so cool. I was obsessed with Sylvanian Families, I had practically a whole village: the school, a car, too many houses to count, a dressmakers shop and a salon. I asked for this hotel for years, and I never got it, although I don't blame my mum and dad seeing as it was around the £120 mark! I just looked it up and now it's £140!

Look at it! How could any child not want this?!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

I love the run-up to Christmas, with decorating the tree and shops coming out with Christmas ranges and all that stuff, and I love seeing everyone open presents and seeing your family and just everyone being really happy!

Thank you for reading! I hope you liked this little tag, and like I said earlier, feel free to answer these questions in the comments!

The Sleek Solstice Palette: The Prettiest Highlighting Palette Ever!

Hello again! I thought I'd do a review today, as I've been meaning to do a post on this Sleek highlight palette for ages!
This is just going to be a quick little review, as you're getting a whole 12 posts from me, (is that really a good thing? Actually, don't answer that...)

I've wanted palette for ages, as I saw loads of bloggers using it, and it looked so pretty! Although it was sold out of both Boots and Superdrug for ages, and me and my two friends finally found the last 3 in Boots, while Sleek makeup was on a 3 for 2 offer - if that isn't fate, then I don't know what is!

This cost £9.99, which I think is an amazing price for 4 highlighters. In the palette you get 3 powders, and 1 cream highlight (the one in the top left corner).
I'm not really a cream highlighter kind of person, so to be honest, I don't get much use out of it, but I do have a lot of love for the powders.

In this, there's four shades: Ecliptic (the Cream highlight, a bronzy, champagne-y colour. I'd wear this so much more if it was a powder, it's such a pretty colour!),
Hemisphere - a lilac-y toned shade, this does slightly show up on the skin, but it doesn't look like a big purple streak down your face, it looks so amazing and bright!
You also have Subsolar - a yellow, warm highlight, this is blinding if you apply too much, so be careful! Lastly there's Equinox - an orangy, peachy shade that I love!

From top to bottom: Eclipse, Hemisphere, Equinox and Subsolar
I normally apply these with either a fan brush or a big eyeshadow blending brush. I find I have to be really light handed with these, or else I end up with a nice white streak across my face. These are certainly not for those 'no makeup' makeup days!
And they last all day, I can go to school, and come home, and they still look the same as they did when I left!

I do have one little complaint: I got this palette in September (I think), and it's only December and I have these funny little bumps and lumps in Subsolar (the yellow one!), but none of the others. Is this normal? Should I still be using it? I don't know why I'm asking if I should still be using it, I'm still going to practically plaster my face in this regularly anyway!

And for my favourites, it's definitely Equinox and Subsolar, I usually mix them together and I get a really amazing highlight that looks so good. Hemisphere, the purple-y one, scares me a bit, as it's purple and I didn't normally wear shades like that as much, but I'm starting to get a lot more wear out of it now.

Overall, this palette was such a good purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good highlight! I use this palette literally all the time and I'm so happy I bought it!

---

I hope you liked this little review, I quite liked not doing a huge post talking about just the one product, and shrinking it down loads.
Anyway, I'm writing this really quite late at night, so I'm going to sign off here!
Thank you for reading, and I'll see you on Saturday!

The Christmas Gift Guides - £10 & Under!

I thought it was about time I brought you the next installment of my Christmas gift guides! This is the £10 and under version, so it's perfect for secret santa's or little stocking stuffers!
This is mainly beauty orientated, as the last gift guide is going to be focused on those who aren't so into beauty (yes, those people exist!).

I hope you find this somewhat helpful!

I think this is such a beautiful palette, and as it's so hyped on Youtube, I thought it'd be the perfect gift for a makeup-loving friend! I love and use every shade in this palette (apart from the funny cream shade in the top left corner), and it's so good! I've actually bought this for my friend for Christmas so I'm praying she'll like it!

This is another hugely hyped up product in the blogging world, and for good reasons. How did I ever manage to do my makeup without this? It's such an amazing product and a cheaper alternative to the real beauty blender, and I think any makeup lover would love to receive this!

In my local Primark, I saw a set of Primark's oval Artis brushes in gold and they were all prettily packaged up as a giftset. I can't find them on Priamrk's website, but they would be such am amazing gift, as oval brushes have really became popular in the past few months! This set was only around £8 for 3 brushes, but if you can't get the set, then they sell the oval brushes individually, from £2.50 to £4 each. I actually own one of these, and they're so soft, and it only cost me £3!

I adore the S&G Sexy Motherpucker Gloss Sticks, and in this set you get three: Nudist, Pink-a-Boo, and Purple Rain. I own Nudist and I absolutely love it, and I wear mine so much that it's almost finished.
You could get this for a friend, or buy it and split it across three of your friends, which would be really good in saving you money!

I think this palette is an amazing dupe of the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette, as it comes with the same pinky, red-y eyeshadows that are such high-quality. I on this palette myself, and I love it. The eyeshadows blend so easily, and are so pigmented, and I would love to receive this for Christmas! (Even though I've already got it, but you get what I mean...)

6. Tanya Burr Mrs Claus Manicure Pink Glitter Nail Set - £5 (Currently £4 on Superdrug!)

These sets are so cute! They come with a full-sized bottle of nail polish, and a pretty nail file. There's two different types of set: a pinky-glittery one, and a burgundy one. They're both oly £5, which is really good if you're on a budget, or are trying to save money, as they look far more expensive than they actually are!

I actually just bought some of these eyeshadows for a blog post the other! This is a brand I'd never heard about until I saw it in the Christmas section of Boots a few weeks ago, and with their eyeshadows being so ridiculously cheap, it felt rude not to buy any!
Boots are doing a really good deal on these, where if you spend £12 on their products, you get a free empty palette that holds six eyeshadows! So you could buy someone a few of these for their Christmas and they could make their own eyeshadow palette!

In this giftset, you get two bath products, the Shooting for the Stars Bath Bomb and the Snow Angel Bath Melt. I think a Lush giftset is such a god idea for a beauty lover, as everyone loves baths, don't they?

9. Small Z Palette - £9.50

This is slightly similar to the Makeup Obsession eyeshadows I just mentioned, but Z Palettes are very well known, and you can purchase them on Beauty Bay. This is just a small Z Palette, and can hold 9 single Makeup Geek eyeshadows. This could be good if you buy someone the palette and then they can buy their own eyeshadows for it!

10. Makeup Geek Single Eyeshadows - £6.00 - £9.25

Or, if you have a friend who already has their own Z Palette going, then you could buy them a Makeup Geek eyeshadow, as they're meant to be really high-quality! The normal shadows are slightly cheaper at £6.00, but the gorgeous foiled eyeshadows are a bit more pricey at £9.25, but I'm sure any makeup lover would love to get these! You can get these on Beauty Bay too!

This set seems to come out every year, and it comes with a range of lipglosses from nudes to reds to a purple! This again would be good for just one friend, or you could buy it as a little extra for your friends and divide it up between them (and depending how many friends you have, you can keep one or two for yourself!)

This set is all about my favourite set ever from Soap and Glory, Sugar Crush. I love this scent so much, and I would love to have a set like this! It comes with hand cream, body wash, body scrub, body butter and a loofah, all with the Sugar Crush scent! This is such an amazing set, and it's only £10.

Sorry, I couldn't just leave it at one Lush set, could I? This is another really good set, which comes with Father Christmas Bath Bomb, and Peeping Santa Bubble Bar. As I said earlier, Lush sets are such an easy gift for anyone, whether you know them well or not.

This is one of my favourite giftsets that came out this year, as it's such good value for money, and comes with 4 of the liquid lipsticks by Sleek, in several different colours: a nude, a pink, a red, and a really dark red. This set is quite hard to find now, in all my local Boots it's sold out, but if you do find it, I think it would be a really good gift for anybody who loves makeup!

This is a really good set from Zoe's beauty range. This comes with 3 of her bath fizzers, all in a really cute gingerbread shape. I'm not sure if they come in the gingerbread scent too, but I've heard loads of people talk about these fizzers and say they're really good, and if you have a friend who's a Youtuber lover, or loves a good pamper evening, then a gift like this would be amazing for them!

---

I hope you liked this post! I prefer doing the £10 and under guides as there's loads to choose from and I thought that most people would find this the most helpful!

Anyway, thank you for reading, and I'll see you on Thursday!

15 Unpopular Beauty Confessions

Hello! Today I thought I would do a post on something I've been thinking about doing for a while - unpopular beauty confessions!
These are my thoughts on loads of different things that are circulating around the beauty blogging and youtube world!

1. There is such a thing as too much highlighter. Sorry, I said it. It sometimes makes me cringe when I see people with a strip of white shimmer across their cheek, and at that moment, I think people have taken it a bit far.
However, I do like a rather fabulous highlight myself, but I am really not a fan when you feel that you need sunglasses to look at someone!

2. The MAC 217 is not that good. This is the first makeup product I bought as a result of Youtube hype. I thought that all my eyeshadow woes would be cured and it was going to work wonders. After I got it, I went on about how good it was, but I realise now that it's kind of scratchy, and can hurt your eyelids a bit if you blend with it for too long. I've also tried Makeup Revolution blending brushes that I think work the same or even better, which are £2.99 or even cheaper! I do still use this brush whenever I do eyeshadow, but it just feels a bit cheap to be honest, and it's definitely not worth the hype or the price (£17!)

3. How do eyebrows work? I have absolutely no idea. I fill them in with a brow pencil from Makeup Revolution, but to be honest I don't know how to do it, I just brush it through my brows and pray I look alright. I have only ever had my eyebrows waxed twice in my life, and they were both over a year ago, and now I don't even tweeze my eyebrows because I'm scared I'll accidentally pull my whole eyebrow out!

4. I despise looking shiny, or oily or 'dewy' as some people call it, so much. Any spot of shine on my face is soon killed by good old Stay Matte! It makes me so annoyed when a youtuber doesn't powder their face and it's so oily, and you just want to take them by the shoulders and scream "Just apply some powder on your face!" Just me? Okay.
I'm so not a 'dewy' girl, I like shimmer on my eyelids, and on the tops of my cheeks, and that's it!

5. Most of the advent calendars are so ridiculously overpriced this year, it's awful! The ones I featured in my best budget beauty advent calendars post the other day were the ones I think were the best value for money, but ones like the Charlotte Tilbury, or Jo Malone or Diptyque ones are so overpriced, with the Charlotte Tilbury one being £150 and the Diptyque at £250! I really don't know how anyone could justify spending that much on an advent calendar, I struggled to justify paying £15 for my Tanya Burr one!

6. Taking off makeup is such a boring task, and to be honest, a lot of the time I'll just shower with it on at night and hope it all comes off, because cleansing is such an effort...

7. I have a really bad habit of picking at my nail polish or my nails when I'm stressed, so my nails are constantly chipped (which I hate) and they're currently horrible and short and thin, (which I hate even more) and I've only painted my nails two or three times in the past two months!

8. When I first started getting into makeup when I was around 12, my go-to look for the weekend was a £1.50 foundation, concealer and powder from Asda (shade 1 for the foundation and concealer, - a nice pale orange shade- and shade 2 for the powder - a nice shade of tangerine.), blue eyeshadow from a really old MUA palette, a sparkly brown eyeshadow from the MUA palette for my eyebrows, and to top it all off, a pale pink chunky, glittery lipgloss that I stole from my mum.

9. For around 2 years, I kept buying foundations that were far too dark for me, and now I have 3 foundations that are a range of 1 shade to dark to about 4 shades to dark that I can only wear if I mix it with literally half a bottle of my Body Shop Lightening Drops! I'm just pale and pasty at heart!

10. I rarely clean my makeup brushes. I think the last time I washed them was at the start of October. I always say I'm going to do it, but I've just got so many brushes that it takes an awful amount of time to wash them all properly! I just avoid using the really dirty ones, and I end up only being able to use about 3 brushes for my whole face! I do wonder why I've broken out in spots recently...

11. The Kylie Lip Kits, as much as I love them, are so not worth the money. The Mini Mattes that I bought away back in August are amazing, I love them so much, but I paid £50 for 6 mini liquid lipsticks, including shipping ad customs fees, which is ridiculous.
My full size lip kit, when compared to the minis, must have a different formula, as it feels much thicker on my lips and flakes off really easily, whereas the minis are so thin and last all day without drying my lips up or flaking. So I rarely wear the full size one, and would rather wear the mini mattes instead of the full size...

12. Expiration dates on makeup? What? I've still got eyeshadow palettes and foundations and concealers from when I was about 12/13, and I still use them! According to the expiration date on my eyeshadows, I should've stopped using my Naked 3 palette almost a year ago. Do you think I'm paying £38 for a palette to just throw it away after a year or so? I don't think so!

13. I'm really bad at the whole body scrub, body butter ritual. It's just so much effort to first shave your legs, let's be real, but to spend even more time putting a scrub on them and then rubbing a thick body butter that takes at least 20 minutes to sink in properly. I'm just a shave-really-roughly-in-30-seconds-so-you-miss-90%-of-the-hair-and-practically-cut open-your-whole-leg kinda gal.

14. Lush has really went up in price, recently, and when I saw the prices of some of their Christmas rangethis year, I was shocked that most of the bath bombs are nearly five pounds! I've just asked for a Lush giftset for Christmas, which is cheaper than buying loads of the Christmas range separately. I really am not a fan of paying £5 for a bath bomb that you can only use once! I think the last time I bought a bath product from Lush was away back in April, when I went to London for my birthday, and I can remember my total for Lush costing so much for literally about 3 bath bombs.

15. This is a really unpopular one, but I absolutely love the feeling of applying foundation, especially if it's really high coverage, and I quite like the feeling of it being really thick. The Marc Jacobs foundation looks so nice to apply as it's so high coverage and thick, but I'm not planning on giving away my left arm in order to buy it anytime soon, so I'll just swoon over watching people applying it for now!

---

I hope you liked this post! Can you relate to any of these, or do you have any beauty confessions? Let me know in the comments, and I'll probably be able to relate to them too...

Thank you for reading, and I'll see you soon!

The Best Budget Beauty Advent Calenders of 2016!

Hello! Beauty advent calendars are a really big thing this year, and there's so many different ones to choose from, from ones at £10 to ones at over £200! But I'm going to show you the top 5 best affordable(ish) calendars!
I do think some of these are slightly overpriced, but you could think of it as an early Christmas gift to yourself (That's how I justified buying mine!)
Jut before I start, I thought I'd let you know that I'm going to be posting every second day in December, so it's kind of like blogmas! I was going to do the original blogmas, but I really will struggle to post every single day - hell, I struggle to post once a week! - but I'm really going to make an effort to stick to posting every second day!

So, let's get on with the post!

November Favourites // Beauty, Books & TV!

Hello everyone!
I haven't done a favourites post in ages, so I thought I would do one for this month, as I have loads to talk about, from makeup to a book to Youtube!
I can sense this is going to be a bit of a long one, so sorry!

First for beauty, I have the Collection Extreme Liquid Eyeliner Pen, which I bought a few weeks ago when my old Maybelline eyeliner ran out. I love this eyeliner so much more than any other one, as it's just so black, and doesn't budge all day! I didn't think I'd like it as much, as it was much thicker than any other eyeliner I'd ever tried, but it's surprisingly really easy to use, and I find doing a wing almost easy! (That's right, I just said that!) I'll definitely buy this again when it runs out, as it's much cheaper than the ones I normally buy!

Next I have the Technic Soft Focus Translucent Loose Powder. I got this a month or so ago, and I really wanted a loose powder so I could try baking and things like that, and I was not about to splash out £30 for the Laura Mercier one! This is so good, I don't really bake with it, but I do like to set under my eyes with it, as it just feels so smooth and works really well, I don't get any creasing and I don't get a funny white cast wherever I put it, it's completely translucent! And this was only £2.99 I think, so it's so affordable and I can guarantee I won't be buying the Laura Mercier one anytime soon!

Onto a product I don't usually feature on my blog: false eyelashes! These are the Ardell Demi Wispies, which are the typical eyelashes most beauty gurus use. I ordered these on Amazon for around £3, which is much cheaper than I would get them in Boots! They look so fluttery and real - yes, they're really thick, but they do look really realistic compared to other eyelashes I've seen! I've worn these so many times since I got them (mainly if it's a special occasion, they're too much effort to apply all the time! They make my eyes look so big and I just love wearing them, and I would 100% recommend them!

Onto lip products, I've been wearing Kylie's Lip Kit in Candy K practically everyday. I'm so sorry, I realise how much I talk about these, but since I have been using it for at two months straight, I thought it was only fair I give it a quick mention. You all know how much I love these, I did a whole post on the mini mattes, which I got a few months ago, and Koko K and Candy K are by far my favourites! I did mention that I do prefer the formula on these ones to my full size of Koko, which I got back in May, so I'm not sure if they've changed the formula since then!
Anyway Candy is a really gorgeous browny nude pink, that I wear most days to school, and it lasts all day without flaking or fading!
There! I'll try not to mention them quite so much now!

I also love the Colourpop Matte Lippie in Bumble, which I also dedicated a whole post to! This is a dark mauvey pink that I've been wearing constantly since I got it! I wear it mostly at the weekend because I stay far, far away from bright lipsticks for school. This again, lasts alllllll day and doesn't fade! I love the formula of these, they're so thin and liquidy and easy to apply, and I really want to order more, as they're so cheap, but the shipping and customs is not so cheap, so unless Colourpop do a £4.99 shipping deal again, I won't be ordering again in the near future!

Lastly, I'l give a quick mention to two nail polishes I've been wearing: Essie's Maximillian Strasse Her and Barry M's Beach Keen. Maximillian Strasse Her is a dark muted mint green-y shade, that looks a bit plain in the bottle but looks so gorgeous on your nails! Beach Keen is an orangey nude colour that isn't too bright our out there on your nails, so it's perfect for school if you aren't allowed to wear nail polish, but it looks so pretty on!

Okay, onto non-beauty, there's quite a few, so get ready! First, is two books: Very British Problems and More British Problems by Rob Temple. I bought the first one on my Kindle and the second in paperback after reading the Very British Problems Twitter account and finding it really funny. These books are full of things all British people do that make them awkward, like holidays, travelling and loads of other things. This book literally makes me laugh out loud (I sound like such a gran saying that!), as everything is so relatable and I would so pick at least one of these up as they're so hilarious and I just love reading them!

Next, is Mulan, which I watched a few days ago and have became a bit obsessed with. I haven't seen Mulan since I was about 5 or 6, so when I watched it again, it was so good and I was so into the plot! Even if you aren't really into Disney movies, I would definitely listen to the soundtrack, the songs are so good, and I can't stop listening to it! It's all about a girl named Mulan (surprise surprise!) who goes in place of her father to fight in a war. Awful summary, but just watch it, you won't be disappointed!

Apologies for my awkward hand reflection on my iPad...
Next, is Stranger Things! Ha! You thought you'd finished hearing about it from every blogger and Youtuber? Well ahahaha, because I finished it a few weeks ago and I was  o b s e s s e d  with it. It's just so amazing and interesting! It's all about a boy named Will, who goes missing, and his 3 friends go looking for him. Just please watch this if you haven't already, it's one of the best TV shows I've watched!

Okay, the last thing in this favourites is Victoria, which was a show on ITV in the UK. This finished like last month, but I haven't done a favourites in ages and I couldn't not mention this! This was so good, it's all about the early reign of Queen Victoria, and how she met Prince Albert and it's just so good, honestly, hop on to ITV Player and watch this, it's so interesting and funny, and I am SO excited for the second series next year! I'm a bit of a history nerd, so I absolutely loved this, but even if you aren't really into history, you'll still love it, I promise!

---

Woo! We're done! That was a long favourites post! There was a lot more I could mention, but I decided to just cut it off there so as it won't be too long!

As I've said 45 times, I'm going to be posting every second day up until Christmas, so I hope you like the regular posts from me!

Anyway, thank you for reading, and before I go, I just wanted to say thank you so much for 20,000 views on my blog! I didn't even realise I'd hit it until recently, but I'm just so happy with how my blog's grown in the past few months!
Thank you again, and I'll see you on Friday!

The Christmas Gift Guide - £25 & Under!

Hello! So today I'm bringing you the first gift guide of 2016! Woooo!
I've decided on doing 2 guides this year, mainly based on what girls my age would want, as I'm quite good at guessing that!
This one is for gifts at £10-£25, and my next one will be for £10 and under!

I have got a lot of products to talk about, so let's get started!

Colourpop Haul // Shipping, Review & Swatches!

Hello!
A few weeks ago, I made a cheeky order on Colourpop, after I got sent an email telling me that they were doing a special £4.99 flat rate shipping deal on all international orders.
I've heard that shipping to the UK is normally £25, so when I heard that it was only £4.99, I was right on the website!

So I've had my three liquid lipsticks for a few weeks now, and I think I can give you a full review of my thoughts on these!

The Roundup #5 - School Stress, Shopping Bans & CHRISTMAAAS!

Hello! Long time no see!
Yes, I am back, not that any of you have probably noticed, but I've been a bit erratic with my posts recently, but I've got my posts all organised, I'm made a rather fabulous looking spreadsheet (I'm a really cool 16 year old in case you haven't already noticed) and I'm ready to get back into blogging.

I'd thought I'd kick off things with a new roundup post, as I'm currently in a really chatty mood - although I'm not really chatting to you am I? I'm just rambling away to myself and hoping that someone might read it!
Anyway, I hope you like this little rambly post, and don't get too bored!

Kylie Birthday Edition Mini Mattes! - Review

Hello, so I'm back with another review from Kylie Cosmetics! I almost died when she showed the limited edition birthday collection on Snapchat, and I knew I had to make an order.
Honestly, put 'Limited Edition' on anything and I'll buy it, I just can't help myself!

What's on my iPhone?

Hi!  Today I've decided to do a post on what's on my iPhone! I see this going around Youtube a lot, however I've seen a few different blog posts on it and I thought it would be interesting to do this as a blog post instead of a video (mostly because I'm too much of a wuss to make a Youtube channel).
I have a feeling this post will be a bit long, as I have a lot of apps on my phone, so sorry!

My lockscreen is really basic, it's just a pale pink watercolour wallpaper I found on We Heart It. Sometimes it's a photo of me and my friends, but obviously I'm not going to show that because #anonymous and all that.

The front page of my apps is the basic Apple app-setup, everyone who owns an Apple product knows these apps so I won't go into them!

On the second page of my apps, I have a folder filled with yet more of Apple's apps that no one ever uses. In this folder, I also have Buffer, which is how I schedule Tweets, Gmail, which is for my emails (did you guess?), and Life360, which to be honest I have no clue what it is, my mum told me to download it so she can track my phone if I get kidnapped or something.

In the next folder, I have my games, which, I'm not going to lie, I play all the time. First I have Colour Switch, which is one of those games where you end up throwing your phone against a wall because it's so frustrating. But other than that, it's really fun!
I also have Where's my Water 2, which is when you have to create a little maze to get water to a little crocodile. It sounds really boring, but it's really fun! I don't play this as much now, as when you get to a certain level you have to pay, which I'm not doing!
Then I have Episode. We all know Episode, the app that is all over the place that seems to have really interesting story lines and plots until you download it and realise that they aren't even real. I mostly just play this for the Demi Lovato stories, but there's some other good ones on there too!
Then I have Jigsaw Bug. I'm a granny in disguise, I know, but I love doing jigsaws, they're so relaxing. I completed all of the jigsaws on this a few months ago, and deleted and re-installed it so I could do them all again. I'm a saddo, I know.

I'm sure everyone's had Candy Crush on their phones at some time or another! I love this game, it's so addictive and to be quite honest, I've came very close to buying gold bars and lives on this!

Then I have Tiny Zoo. Now you may be thinking "Robyn, ar you not a bit old to be playing a zoo game?" No, no I am not. This is the most addictive game I've ever played, you basically own your own zoo and you can buy and purchase animals and things, and breed them and things like that. Again, sounds boring, but so addictive. I haven't played this game in a few months, but I'm so proud of my zoo that I can't bring myself to delete it!

We all know Best Fiends. Every Youtuber under the sun seems to have had a sponsorship deal with them, and I have to admit, I've been sucked in. This is my current addiction, I play it literally all day, and this is another time where I've came close to buying gold bars and meteorites. This is definitely not an ad, but Best Fiends, feel free to drop me an email - kidding. (I'm totally not kidding)

Lastly, I have Brick Breaker, which is when you're controlling a little ball that has to hit lots of little bricks to complete the level. Again, very addictive!

Onto the social media apps, I first have Twitter. You can follow my Twitter here (Selfless self-promo no.1).
I use Twitter all the time, I'm pretty awful at actually tweeting things, but I do love to spend way too much time scrolling through it and seeing what everyone's doing.

I also have Snapchat, which is personal, so you can't follow me on there (sorry!)! I'm also addicted to Snapchat, I use it all the time and I love seeing how ugly I can make myself with the weird filters!
Next I have Instagram! I have a personal Instagram which I use all the time, but I do have a blog Instagram, which you can follow here. (Shameless self-promo no.2)  Again, I'm awful at remembering to post on this, but I'm hoping to set everything up and start it soon!

I love Bloglovin! I use this on the daily, I love reading blog posts! Bloglovin link is here (Shameless self-promo no.3 - this is the last one, I promise!)
I then have Facebook Messenger, which I use to speak to my friends. This, again, is private, sorry!

Next up is Youtube, which of course, is one of my most used apps! I spend loads of my spare time watching Youtube, and I'm currently thinking of doing a post of my current favourite bloggers and Youtubers, so let me know if that's something you'd like to see?

Of course, I've got Netflix. How would I cope without it? My top Netflix recommendations are Pretty Little Liars (Obviously - I'm still a mess over that Ezria proposal), American Horror Story, and Once Upon a Time!
I also have Quiz Up, which is basically you versing people all over the world on thousands of different quiz topics. This is another addictive game, and I'm a champion at Disney Princesses (just saying).

I also have the Boots Advantage Card app, which shows me deals in Boots that I can get with my Advantage Card. This is really good as I can get really good discounts on different makeup, skincare and haircare bits in Boots. However, it does end up making me want to spend £5 on toothpaste just so I can get 500 points on my card...

We Heart It is another app on my phone. I don't really use this much, but I do like to use it to find new wallpapers for my phone.
I also have Afterlight, which is the editing app I use to edit my blog photos. This does cost money, but it's such a good app, and I use it all the time!

Whitagram is another editing app I like to use. I normally use this to brighten photos or to edit the photos that are always at the start of each of my blog posts. This is free and I would totally recommend this if you don't want to pay for Afterlight.

VSCO Cam is the last editing app on my phone! This is another app I don't really use, but everyone seems to love it so I'm trying to gt into it and use it more, but to be honest, I don't get how it works and I'd much rather use my other editing apps if I'm honest!
Phonto is the app that I use to add font to my photos. I download all of my fonts from Dafont (if you're wondering), and I use this app all the time!

I have EE, which is my phone's network. This is quite a boring one, as I only ever go on this to check if I've went over my data limit for the month.
I also have Covet Fashion, which I talked about ages ago in my April Favourites. This is an app where you can enter different fashion competitions and dress up your little character and buy clothes and talk to other users. It's really fun and also incredibly addictive.

I recently downloaded GoodReads, which I've heard a few people talking about. This is an app where you can search up practically any book and read reviews written by other people. You can also write your on reviews and rate books, which I love doing. This is really helpful for me when I'm unsure whether to buy a book or not, I just look at the reviews for it and then decide if I want it or not!

Lastly, I have PicCollage, which I use to make different collages. I love using this as it's free and you can d loads of different stuff on it! This is the app that I use to make the little collages for my Roundup posts, too!
---

So that is what apps are on my iPhone! I hope this post wasn't too boring!
And sorry for not posting on Sunday, I had a last-minute essay to write for english and didn't have time to type up a post! (That's right, I'm back at school. *sobs*)

Anyway, thank you for reading, and I'll see you on Sunday!

Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass Palette: Review and Swatches

After weeks of stalking Debenhams and House of Fraser, checking every corner of the internet, and unsuccessfully trying to order it from Sephora.com, I finally managed to get my hands on the limited edition Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass Palette.
I'll explain how I managed to get it later in the post, but I thought I would do a big post showing you swatches and give you my thoughts on this!
Unfortunately the palette is almost impossible to get in the UK now, it seems to be sold out everywhere, sorry!

The Book Edit - The Best and Worst

Hi! I thought I would take a small break from the normal beauty-orientated uploads and do a book themed post, which I've wanted to do for ages! I want to make this type of post a little series, where I discuss my current favourite books and my biggest book disappointments.
In this post, I'll be talking about 5 books: 3 great books, and 2 not-so-great ones, so I hope you enjoy!
And don't worry, there's no spoilers!
